  1. And the other bird replies: “You did?….Are you reading my mind?”
First bird: “Yes. And it’s easy…”
Second bird (discouraged now): “It is….? Why?”
First bird’s beak tilts upwards in an avian grin.
    “Cause you’re a birdbrain.”

Are there any birds in “Under the Sign of the Moon”?

    1. LOL – I thought they look like this couple that is married for a very very very long time and you know .. when your partner wants to say something and you sigh: “Oh yes, I know what’s coming now!” – a little bit bored, a little bit full of love.

Nope, no birds in there. No animals at all as I recall. In the end the story was a little bit too long and too depressing. Started enthralling and then lost all its pace.

      1. You’re totally right. They do have that long-married look to them. They can finish each other’s sentences because each knows exactly what the other one will say, down to the phrasing, the words, the inflexion. They can’t stand each other. But they can’t live without each other either.

And after living together their entire lives – 10 to 15 years which in bird terms is an eternity – when one dies, the other, who seemed to be in the peak of good health, also dies….unable to survive alone.

        LOL indeed….. :-)
