    1. I am sorry but I really don’t know. I can’t even say if it’s defunct or still in use. On the other side of the river is a modern hydroelectric power station. It’s seemed these are small weirs.

  1. There’s a somber elegance to the forms and shapes and shadows in this photo…….I like it.

    I like the quote, too. Makes me wonder….what it means, to be a spectator – is it the same as being a photographer? We observe, we see, we lift the camera up and press the shutter –

    But we’re always on this side of the camera.

    Hmmmmm…….

    And then of course, Oscar Wilde should get the last word: “It’s the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors.”

      I think a spectator … just spectates at something. Without any consequence. For him/herself, for art, for the rest of the world.
