Lovely young man;-) I have taken the big step and switched to a Mac today, so my comments may be sketchy while I learn. You had a productive time in Paris.
I’ve only had it for three days and I love it. I can still boot up my old Windows and it runs faster than it did in my PC. I will do that less and less as I get settled in. Photoshop runs at least twice as fast. I am now looking at RIPs and black d white printing apps.

James, you will love it. There isn’t a better system for handling photo images.

That’s like comparing apples to pears: an old machine to a new one :-P
Not sure about that. I like both apples and pears, but I’m no fan of Windows based PCs. They can work, but are often frustrating to use.
You can’t compare an old machine to a newly bought one – regardless of the OS.
Seems like your comments aren’t sketchy at all :-). And yes, it was a wonderful time photography-wise.
