  1. Ah, your risk was all worth it to get this shot. I’ve come back several times to look at this steam engine. Just hope you didn’t have to lay on the track while the engine roared over.

      It’s a four-cylinder engine and you can see the two “insert translated version of complicated German word in here” of the two inner cylinders protruding between the lamps.
      The German word is Kolbenstangenhülse … piston rod sleeve?

      1. The compound German word “Kolbenstangenhülse” makes perfect sense, once you translate it for me. Someone who speaks three languages is called trilingual. Someone who speaks two languages is called bilingual, and someone who speaks only one language is called an American.
