Hmm, I thought it was a cicada but after reading your comment I had a second look: Yes, you are right, it’s blatta orientalis. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiik.
Wow, that building has a major infestation problem. Looks like a cockroach to me, and where there is one seen, there is likely to be thousands unseen. I’ll say something bad in about to happen.
Indeed, it seems to be a cockroach (all the time during my vacation I thought it to be a cicada … ) – we have them at our office building :-( – but not that big I am glad to say so …
The cicada, or 17 year locust, is an interesting and mostly harmless insect if you pay no attention to the noise they make. A cockroach is a completely different story. That’s something bad.
I am not sure I would find a cicada that big harmless … lurking at my window …. .
The cockroaches at our office building are said to be American cockroaches, Periplaneta americana – office legend has it that they escaped from the Department of Zoology many years ago … I have a photo on my computer at work … if you are interested … ;-)
They were climbing the wall and soon they would reach the open window
No no, I am not going to write a story about a climbing cicada this weekend. Don’t induce me. ;-)
awesome !
Nice deco, gel? Better than the obligatory Santa Claus who starts climbing the walls around here in December …
Blatta orientalis uuach :D

Sure, I would love to see your photo. Don’t have to spray for insect photos. Ha.
