  1. Nice photo, Martina. You might have guessed that I like boats. This looks like a pretty crowded marina, similar to what I see around here. The masts always look majestic, especially against the sky.

    1. Thank you. That’s in Fréjus, Côte d’Azur – the boats were very interesting. But totally out of my budget ;-). I like marinas and the atmosphere – it’s something very exotic to me, even if we have some nice marinas and boats here, too. But a river is not the sea. And I grew up in the countryside – no huge water anywhere in the vicinity.
I also find it hard to take decent photographs of boats. Don’t know why, really. Cars, bikes, tractors are more easy.

  2. Love your shot of the masts all lined up. Boats are wonderful, but the revelry doesn’t begin until the anchor is set, or the boat is tied up at the dock. Then let the good times roll, or as they say in New Orleans, “Bon ton roulet.”

    1. Thank you! Like I said to Ed just a second ago, very exotic. I don’t know anyone who owns a boat. I never did. Not that class of boat, at least. I can only imagine how the revelries might be at night at the Côte d’Azur. When the party starts …

      1. I would love to sail the Côte d’Azur in fair weather with fair winds. Feeling the power of the wind in sails to skim over the water is a great joy. The boats tied to the dock are just waiting to fly free once again.

  3. Aaaah, when I find the time (and the energy ;-)) I’ll show you two, Ed and Jeff, some photos I took of a vintage wooden sailing boat in Southend-On-Sea, England some years ago. Will be on scrappress. This week. It was a wonderful boat.
    I’ll tell you.

  4. So – I didn’t remember that all the photos I took of this boat show one or another family member of mine – the only two witihout someone of my family doing things (the owner asked us to help him put the boat on the trailer) are on the scrappress now. Sorry. Next time I will shoooooo them all!
