Ooohoo, I have never heard about Lemony Snicket before. But judging from the quote he must be an extremely wise guy.
And yes, I searched for him, of course ;-)
I circled the sculpture to get an interesting point of view – I wanted the hills with the trees in the background. And of course I wanted to show how expressive this work of art is.
Btw that’s “Arbre de la vie” by Ettore Greco – I like his work quite a bit.
Lemony Snicket is of course a nom de plume but ‘he’ has authored some stuff that is both weird, whimsical and occasionally wonderful. But most of his work is written for children, in the so-called Y/A genre.
Ettore Greco’s work looks pretty cool…..thanks, Martina. So many artists and writers, so little time to appreciate them all (sigh)
I see he is leaning over backward to please you. ;-)
Grin – everything is simply a matter of pov ;-)
Great photo, Martina.
Great angle, too.
And about the quote – and the idea of fate doing strange things – well, fate is nothing if not unpredictable.
Or as Lemony Snickett once said, or rather, once wrote –
“Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don’t always like.”
But sometimes one does like them after all :-)
