Ahhhh…..this image….it reminds me of some frames from a few ancient Godard movies, back in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, specifically Alphaville – a world that is at once familiar but, after sundown, very strange.

The wall on the left is part of a former “Jesuitenhof”. Today it’s a hospice. I thought the quote appropriate somehow …
“Jesuitenhof” is a sort of Jesuit estate – part abbey, part farm. It’s hard to tell the difference between an abbey and a “-hof” – I guess the “-hof” is smaller. I am also not sure if there are other congregations’ “-hof” .. okay, I never thought about all this stuff until writing this reply ….
