I laugh every time I see this. Still trying to figure out what kind of business this would be over here. “I’m going down the the hand & fuss store to watch the slapping fights.”
Besides this being a manicure & pedicure business which you know of course ;-) it is a wordplay. It’s a German phrase “sth, has a hand and a foot”, ie. sth. makes sense, sth. is meaningful, sth. is trustworthy.
We Germans make no fuss ;-)
Germans maybe not, but certain Mainz Germans can be a bit fussy. Jurgen will point them out.
