“A cow, as it gazes on you, steady and vacant, takes in more about the core of who you are than most folks imagine.” – Villager by Tom Cox
A cow, as it gazes on you, steady and vacant, takes in more about the core of who you are than most folks imagine.
That cow seems to be taking in quite a lot.
Doesn’t blink … see?
Having lived between two dairy farms in Vermont for ten years, I can attest to that gaze. They were dairy cows so in no danger of going the butcher. Sweet animals. The heifers had a sense of humor and loved to chase me.
J’aime bien les vaches tu sais !
I am in Charolais country right now, so not dairy. Here are these vast pastures (for European standards at least) and it’s not easy to take photos even with the smaller (300mm) tele lens. They are very shy. But I managed to take a nice portrait the other day. I put it on bluesky with the same quote: https://bsky.app/profile/blackandwhiteandcolours.de/post/3mva6ps4uvs2t
