Your comment reminds me of how fascinated I was with Picasso as a young girl. How he managed to paint a camel with a single stroke. I still love that Picasso camel.
I always say I take photos because I can’t paint or draw ;-)
This is the work of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. I first encountered these chalk drawings last year in Paris – seems like I have missed them in 2010, ;-). And now of course I am looking for them. Found a whole new series (dated June) at the Canal St. Martin.
Wonderful.
Yes. They are so delicate.
I’m always amazed at what can be so well illustrated by just a few sweeps of an artists hand – and envious!

The artist certainly used economy of line to create beauty. So your quote is perfect for this photo. You have hit a sweet spot here.
Thank you.
It is, indeed lovely. I am a little slow and only saw the two repeating lines on the left and thought you had found more ducks for Daniel;-/
Elephants, okay. But ducks???
The human brain works wonder in complementing some lines to fictionary images – well seen!
Yes, see Picasso’s camel :-). Thank you.
