  1. Reminds me of Felix the Cat, a cartoon I used to watch when I was a very young boy. Felix, was totally drawn and animated in black and white, and was popular before color TV was common. Nice picture.

    1. I am not sure if the Felix cartoons are ever been aired in German TV – the comic strips were published in colour in West Germany for some decades. East Germany had its own b/w version – the DDR-Felix.
Thank you. Now I prefer showing graffiti/street art in its context. When I started photographing graffiti I always framed it very tightly but then I realised I like it better with more surroundings showing. People. Cars. Buildings. The streets.

  2. The cat looks too formal to be graffiti, so it must be an art project. Perhaps it was inspired by the Cheshire Cat from Alice and Wonderland? He floated in the air, smiled broadly, and was no danger to anyone. Fine paring of photo and quote.

    1. You are absolutely right about the influence of the Cheshire Cat. M.Chat is quite famous in this part of the world, not as famous as for example Banksy of course.
      Thank you.
