The best of christmas colors I could come up to ;-)
If I find the time and patience perhaps I will make some “Best hydrants of 2012” thing somewhere in the next days, but right now I feel like time is flying …
One of the few professions where the best thing is when there is never any action! Waiting for years and years is the best thing the hydrant can do in his life *g*
Thanks for the hydrant website. Didn’t realize there were so many types. Love the Danish ones that have all the organic curves. They look almost Art Nouveau.
Great!
Thanks! :-)
What a lovely Christmas present!! Thank you from the Society of Hydrantologists:->

What a fine hydrant waiting patiently for his name to be called. If it is I’m sure he would gush forward.

How true. But it looks like it’s life of waiting hasn’t been that easy. This fire plug shows some serious wear, dents, and abuse.
Suitable to its surroundings.

What really amazes me is that there are private collections. What a thing to collect hydrants!
I wonder if the site is still alive – copyright is until 2003 …
