“Can we go?” – The Breeze by Joshua Ferris

  1. Hmmhmm, James and Jeff – now I wonder if this might be me misunderstanding an English phrase.
When I chose the quote I meant it to mean “Now, can we go further? To the origin of the river? To the end of the valley?”
But it seems you both understand “Can we go away? I don’t want to stay”

Tja, these things happen … interesting, though.

    1. Yes, it is. This part of East Tyrol is not only very steep (have I mentioned this before, ;-)) but also the least populated part of Tyrol. So quiet. The trees are mostly Swiss Pine so you were absolutely right about the “hint of warm pine” – the smell is wonderful.

  2. My first thought was that I wanted to go see where the river went. It looks like a lovely place to visit. I generally like the B&W pictures you post here, Martina, but in this case, I would like to see what the colors in this landscape would look like.

  3. @ all

Funnily, when I looked at the photo again something struck me: The photo shows the direction we came from, not the one we went to.

That had been the end of that day’s hike. Exactly 2001m above sea level btw.

    That’s 6564.9606 feet. *grin*
