The light began to fluctuate, shuttering on and off
There are, of course, many questions
So much for conversation
There didn’t seem to be anyone around
This was not something that one saw every day
His face was intelligent and not unattractive
Something really bad was happening
This is a collaboration
They are called stairs
Everyone ignores these guys
Some kind of conference maybe?
Older than me, but not old
It came to me that I was trespassing
My feelings were complicated
It was a feeling that couldn’t last
Each day of sun might be the last
Every object had a story connected to it
Yes, we are expecting your call
Nothing changes, apparently, about love
I watch the streets
I did preen in a modest way, almost without meaning to
I knew I should have said goodbye at least
Do you think I’m rude?
Some people are lucky
They didn’t have the least interest in me
It was like being punished at school
Then there was silence, the air like ice
Gone fishin’
Do I really scare you that much
The momentary sense of having travelled back in time
He felt the world arrange itself around him
But there was nothing at all
His arms and legs shooting out like starbursts
He is no danger to anyone
There was a storm looming
There was still sweetness in his eyes
To me, you always look so beautiful
There is no law for him to be an outlaw from
The universe is ungoverned
It gets him out of his room for an hour, insures that he sees the sun
He can get everything back in its right place if he’s quick
He can’t seem to get it right
She envisioned a long corridor, off which opened many rooms – each with a friend in it
You’re the only person I can be all of myself with
His confidence seemed unwarranted
Everyone’s capable of everything
She tried to get away without being noticed
Every unknown word sent her to a dictionary
Gone fishin’
Their eyes were in protruding knobs at either side of their heads
